Volunteer Chore Services
Volunteer Chore Services (VCS) provides basic in-home assistance to low-income elders and adults with disabilities to help them continue living independently, safely, and with dignity in their own homes.
All services are provided solely through the generosity of individual and group volunteers who donate their time and talents to help someone in need. VCS staff provide training, encouragement, and support to the volunteers so that together we can become a vital community of caregivers to our friends and neighbors.
Volunteers can provide valuable services such as:
- Shopping

- Transportation for appointments and errands
- Yard work
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Snow shoveling
- Minor home repairs
- Wheelchair ramps
- Wood provision
- Communication
You can request services if you are:
- Over the age of 60 and low income
- Between the ages of 18 and 60 low-income and disabled
