As the Director of the Catholic Family & Child Service agencies in Central Washington, I have the privilege of hearing life-changing stories of help and compassion every day. Catholic Family & Child Service provides social services to families throughout the life cycle. Since 1949, counseling has been provided to young women experiencing unplanned pregnancies and wishing to consider an adoption plan; foster parents provide a safe, loving home for abused or neglected children; and adoptive parents provide a family for infants and children. As the needs have changed within our Central Washington communities, the services have grown to meet new challenges. Catholic Family & Child Service has become a leader in the area of early childhood services offering quality child care, referral and training resources, and parent education. The counseling programs assist children through elderly with day to day problems, life adjustments, and mental health issues. The elder services’ programs assist low-income elderly to remain in their own homes and provide opportunities to unite the generations through volunteering.
Catholic Family & Child Service extends caring hands to people of all faiths, ethnicities, and socio-economic backgrounds. Our programs are an expression of faith, a response to Christ’s call to care for one another. By caring for one another, we bring hope to life.
Thank you for joining with us to meet the many social service needs within our communities.
